School Rumble episode 2 translation notes

Hey, at least it's a short list this time. Evidently this episode is a lot less Japanesey than the last one. It's still funny as hell, however, so it's all good.

Notes can be found in the top comment.

Pre-episode notes:

看護婦 / 看護士 / 看護人
kangofu / kangoshi / kangonin
These terms all mean "nurse". However, "kangofu" refers to a FEMALE nurse, "kangonin"

refers to a MALE nurse, and "kangoshi" is gender-neutral.

More specific notes:

8:30 - 8:44
Harima wrote the line in a rather rough style, typically only used by guys like him. Thus, the fact that Tenma copied it word-for-word (in a style of writing/speaking she would never use for herself) is part of the joke, hence why I added "dammit" to the end. Technically the text on the eraser at 7:42 was exactly the same, but I was starved for screen real-estate there.

14:39
Yes, that really is what the Japanese text says. I guess since this airs at 6pm on TV-Tokyo, you've gotta cover all your bases...

19:14 - 19:23
Once again, we are shown that while Eri speaks Japanese rather well, she still makes mistakes once in a while. I'm assuming she's more familiar with "kangofu" since, well, most nurses are female anyway.
